Exhaustion Sessions

Prolonged questioning that wears down juveniles physically and mentally until they prioritize escape over truth.

This tactic involves keeping young suspects in interrogation rooms for extended periods; sometimes spanning many hours without adequate breaks, food, or rest. The psychological toll of isolation combined with physical exhaustion creates a state where the juvenile's primary motivation shifts from self-preservation to simply ending the ordeal. Their cognitive abilities become impaired, making them more susceptible to suggestion and less capable of understanding the long-term consequences of confessing. The desperate desire to return home, see their parents, or simply leave the uncomfortable interrogation environment can override their better judgment, leading to false admissions just to make the questioning stop.
